摘要: Abstract The interpersonal-psychological theory of suicide posits that the interaction three elements is required for lethal suicidal behaviors: perception one a burden on others, does not belong, and fearlessness about death combined with high pain tolerance (termed “acquired capability” suicide). Although an ever expanding research base supports theory, very limited data exist supporting among military personnel, group has experienced rapid increase in suicides during past several years. current study tests two clinical samples personnel while deployed to Iraq: those seeking treatment mild traumatic brain injury, outpatient mental health treatment. In both samples, perceived burdensomeness acquired capability were significantly associated suicidality, as was their term. Results partially support suicide, indicate perceptions are increased suicidality personnel.
