Suicidal admissions in the United States military.

摘要: Suicide is currently the second leading cause of death in U.S. military. Little recent research has been done on a well-defined cohort at high risk for by suicide, which consist military patients who attempt suicide or are admitted suicidal ideation. As pilot investigation based literature review behavior military, 100 consecutive charts tertiary treatment facility were reviewed. The findings included following: 94% with depressed mood; 67% had history previous attempts gestures; 49% treated psychiatric medication prior to admission and 88% medications while ward; 47% returned full duty status; 29% recommended administrative separation; 18% medical board. Suggestions future presented help improve our prevention programs.
