摘要: Die Kieferorthopadie befasst sich als Teilgebiet der Zahn-, Mund- und Kieferheilkunde mit Pravention, Diagnose Behandlung von Anomalien Fehlfunktionen im dentofazialen stomatognathen System. „Plasma-Kieferorthopadie“ ist ein Anwendungsbereich Plasmamedizin fur den derzeit kaum konkrete Forschungsergebnisse vorhanden sind. Allerdings lasst das grose Potential, cold atmospheric pressure plasma (CAP) bereits in anderen zahnmedizinischen Disziplinen bewiesen werden konnte, auch auf Aspekte ubertragen. Anwendungsmoglichkeiten CAP lassen momentan vor allem drei Eigenschaften des ableiten: Antimikrobielle Wirksamkeit, Oberflachenbearbeitung, Wundheilung.
