Heavy-Ion Resonances in Angular-Momentum-Unfavored Channels

摘要: The systems /sup 16/0+/sup 12/C and 16/0 have been studied in the inelastic channel leaving 6.05-MeV excited 0/sup +/ state. This has a grazing angular momentum approx.2.5 units less than elastic channel. Surprisingly, excitation functiions show pronounced peaks which are closely correlated with well-matched 16/0(3/sup -/, 6.13 MeV) correlation demonstrates importance of wave reflected from interior ion-ion potential.
