Chitin oligomers and monomers production by coupling γ radiation and enzymatic hydrolysis

摘要: Abstract The main purpose of this study was the chitin enzymatic hydrolysis enhancement by a pretreatment, consisting exposure to gamma radiation at several doses, ranging from 15 kGy 210 kGy. solid molecular weight reduction achieved Co-60 rays treatment reached 90% rate t used, with dose partial depolymerization realized irradiation allowing an enzyme affinity increase toward substrate. monomers and oligomers obtained their radiated production were almost 100%. It also demonstrated that NAG irradiated 210 Gy follows Michaelis–Menton kinetics.
