摘要: Detailed characterizations of flight spare earth flux sensors from the NIMBUS Earth Radiation Budget (ERB) program have been performed which, when coupled with a more careful accounting orbital instrument environment, provide potential for improved accuracy in final data products. The included detailed field-of-view mappings, responses to transient long and short wavelength radiation, response sensor temperature changes. These environment characterizations, along outstanding low noise stability properties ERB signal processing system, promise improvement levels sufficient long-term budget climatological purposes. combined sets 6 7 are expected span period excess 10 years. improvements particularly significant over zonal latitude bands because corrections strongly dependent.
