摘要: Background: Sulfur mustard (SM) has been considered as a carcinogen in the laboratory studies. However, its carcinogenic effects on human beings were not well discussed. The main purpose of our study is to assess carcinogenesis SM following acute and/or chronic exposures beings. Methods: valid scientific English and Persian databases including PubMed, Web Science, Scopus, IranMedex, Irandoc searched collected papers reviewed. used keywords two languages: Persian. inclusion criteria published original articles indexed above-mentioned databases. Eleven full-texts out 296 found relevant then assessed. Results: Studies workers factories during World Wars showed that long-term exposure mustards can cause variety cancers organs such oral cavity, larynx, lung, skin. Respiratory system was most important affected system. Acute single assumed inducer lung blood for few basal cell carcinoma squamous carcinoma. Conclusions: proven situations although data are enough strongly conclude exposure.
