摘要: Summary Context The aim of treatment in patients affected by anorexia nervosa (AN) is weight recovery. However, during gain, anorectic patients’ body composition changed, with an increase abdominal fat, particularly the visceral compartment. Objective We hypothesized that changes composition, are responsible for variability insulin sensitivity (IS) different stages AN. Design and Measurements compared 20 acute stage, 19 weight-recovery stage 21 controls. All subjects underwent oral glucose tolerance test, hyperinsulinaemic euglycaemic clamp dual energy X-ray absorptiometry to measure composition. Results percentage trunk fat was higher recovery than phase (47AE 7±8 AE4% vs 34AE 6±7 AE6%; P £ 0AE01) control group (33AE 4±7 AE6; <0 AE01 recovery). Although gained weight, their mass index (BMI) not statistically from (14AE 4±1 AE1 13AE 6±1 AE8 kg/m 2 ). Insulin lower (4AE 7±1 AE5 7AE 8±1 AE6 mg/kg/min; AE01) controls (7AE AE4 mg/kg/ min; AE01). A linear negative correlation found between IS groups (r = )0AE51; =0 AE04 r )0AE53; respectively), while did correlate BMI. Conclusion represents main AN, refeeding associated which might be onset resistance. As BMI were impaired IS, they cannot considered only
