摘要: The androgen status of 25 male patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) was assessed and compared that age matched controls osteoarthritis (OA). Significantly reduced levels serum free testosterone were found in the RA group. Within group unrelated to all indices disease activity measured, though it strongly related latex positivity. These results support hypothesis sex hormones may have a protective role RA, prospective studies would be necessary determine whether relation one cause or effect.
