摘要: Purpose: This study was conducted to compare anatomical parameters, thought be responsible for causing angle closure glaucoma (ACG), among eyes having acute, subacute or chronic ACG. Methods: Ninety consecutive patients diagnosed with a subgroup of ACG, and 30 age, sex refraction matched controls, provided total 240 prospective study. The refractive error, corneal diameter, keratometry, pachymetry, lens thickness axial length were measured the relative position calculated. data analysed by paired t-test, ANOVA, signed rank test multivariate analysis. Results: Acute ACG mildly hyperopic. All subgroups had similarly short eyeballs steeper curvature compared control eyes. lenses thicker than all other groups (P < 0.001), but controls. Corneal diameters anterior chamber depths decreased in acute controls 0.001). uninvolved fellow each differed from affected only more posteriorly positioned lenses. Conclusions: There spectrum variations seen ACG. expressed an extreme shift features away normal, especially, smaller diameters, leading large mobile already crowded segment. predisposed them severe pupillary block, form ciliary block glaucoma. Chronic less divergent normal therefore could have suffered milder same kind closure, over prolonged period. Subacute deviated least exhibited mild signs spontaneous resolution. Further work is required elucidate completely pathophysiology that leads
