摘要: An electron microscopy study was performed to evaluate the feasibility of use anterior nerve ring male Onchocerca volvulus for assessment early drug effects. Worms were exposed new and known compounds at reasonable concentrations 1 μM less 6, 12, 18, 36 h in an established vitro system. The end filariae up a length mm examined morphological findings compared with motility reduction tetrazolium salt formazan by live but not dead worms. fibers more susceptible chemotherapeutic intervention then other tissues anteriormost part alterations depended on duration exposure chemical nature used. Morphological changes nervous tissue inhibition production corresponded well arsenical mel w, used as active standard, two pyrimidinylguanidines (PD 105482 PD 105666), imidazolinylhydrazone (WR 251993).
