摘要: Esophageal cancer is a devastating diagnosis with very dire long-term survival rates. This largely due to its rather insidious progression, which leads most patients being diagnosed advanced disease. Recently, however, greater understanding of the pathogenesis esophageal malignancies has afforded surgeons and oncologists new opportunities for intervention management. Coupled improvements in imaging, staging, medical therapies, have continued enhance their knowledge nuances resection, resulted development minimally invasive approaches similar overall oncologic outcomes. marriage more efficacious induction therapy diminished morbidity after esophagectomy offers promise this aggressive form cancer. The following review will highlight these recent advances offer insight into our own approach resectable malignancy.
