摘要: Abstract The magnetic field dependence of the electric polarization and magnetization ferroelectric-ferroelastic paramagnetic crystals Tb2(MoO4)3 Gd2(MoO4)3 have been investigated in fields up to 20 T temperature range 5 K room temperature. observed upon terbium molybdate can be interpreted as a piezoelectric strain-induced magnetoelectric effect. effect gadolinium has found two orders magnitude smaller than molybdate. This difference is attributed anisotropic space charge distribution 4f-electrons Tb3+ ions (non-zero angular momentum value) isotropic (zero momentum).
