摘要: Abstract This study examined four commercial lines of Nile tilapia ( Oerochromis niloticus ) ultimately to implement a breeding program produce clean fillets from an all-male fish population that is grown 1 kg. Contemporary progenies were produced perform complete 4 × 4 diallel cross. Two experimental populations studied: (1) set hormonal sex-reversed (SR) progeny processed at 1 kg obtain carcass quality data and (2) did not receive hormone treatment (no hormone, NH) used assess growth between 100 g 400 g. The traits 3997 NH 124 families recorded 400 g, the processing plant obtained 2721 SR 99 families. In general, all sources variation highly significant for most with effect linebreeding explaining largest (from 35 50%) fraction explained variance (FEV) traits, except dressing percentage, which general combining ability (gca) was important source (51%). gca exerted second on body weight, fillet abdominal fat reciprocal effects constituted influence head, percentages, FEV 20% 35% being observed. maternal relatively only specific rate (SGR), 26% total variance. heterosis but corresponded 5% or less almost percentage days 1000 g FEVs 16% 9%, respectively. population, indicates favorable crossbreeding, particularly weight (6.7%) average daily gain (6.8%). levels demonstrated moderate crossbreeding wt. 400 g (4.0%), (− 6.3%), % (− 7.4%), yield (1.6%). These results suggest does further improve exploitation genetic single in this particular farmed population; however, observed composite trait productivity, i.e., biomass per number fish, yielded promising reached 38% 43% crosses. Furthermore, six cases exhibited cross better than best pure line, demonstrating profit relevant parameter consider assessing strategies. Statement relevance Total produced, yielded heterosis.
