Cardiovascular Involvement in Behçet's Disease

摘要: Objectives: This study aims to evaluate left and right ventricular functions at rest by pulsed-wave Doppler tissue echocardiography methods in patients with Behcet’s disease (BD) without overt cardiovascular disease, compare age sex matched subjects. Patients methods: Fifty-four BD (12 males, 42 females; mean 35±8 years; range 18 51 years) symptoms, 36 age-matched controls 24 33±5 47 were included. Cardiac evaluated conventional echocardiography. Results: Although indices of systolic function similar both groups, mitral annular velocity was lower (p<0.001) myocardial performance index higher compared the controls.
