摘要: Background: Behcet’s disease is a systemic vasculitis in which studies have given conflicting results about ventricular diastolic functions. However, tissue Doppler echocardiography has never been used any of these studies. Aortic stiffness, cardiovascular risk factor, may also precede dysfunction. Objectives: The aim this study was to assess aortic stiffness and biventricular functions patients with disease. Methods: A total 26 (mean age; 33±10 years) 20 age- sex-matched controls 33±7 were included. evaluated by strain distensibility. Ventricular both conventional echocardiography. Mitral E wave, E/A ratio deceleration time, isovolumic relaxation time calculated. Results: There no significant difference parameters between controls. Similarly, there mitral annular velocities two groups. found be significantly less than the (8.3±4.9% 15.7±2.7% respectively, p<0.001). distensibility low when compared (0.45±0.28 0.78±0.13 Beta index values high (7.23±5.93 2.69±0.55 Conclusion: No dysfunction left right ventricles using an increase found, suggesting inflammatory involvement proximal aorta.
