摘要: Talc either insufflated (poudrage) or in a suspension (slurry) is commonly used to create pleurodesis patients with recurrent pneumothorax pleural effusions. There are now at least 32 cases the literature which developed acute respiratory distress syndrome after receiving talc intrapleurally. The mechanism for development of intrapleural administration not known, but it may be related systemic absorption talc. Since there effective alternatives producing (mechanical abrasion if thoracoscopy performed; tetracycline derivatives bleomycin chest tubes used), should produce pleurodesis.
