摘要: We derived a closed-form solution for the pressure required to open spherical or cylindrical cavity in brittle materials which demonstrate two-curve pressure–shear behavior. The material is allowed crack under tension and fail shear; only both failure modes result comminution. Since expansion closely related penetration resistance of target material, this identifies parameters that are important impact problems. It found cracking comminution can be prevented when large enough confinement present, resulting high could explain intriguing phenomenon interface defeat. effects dilatancy, shear strength comminuted ceramic on explicitly revealed.
