摘要: Aims:  To examine sulphur (S) deprivation in combination with the presence of methane (CH4) and changes extracellular pH as a method to enhance situ hydrogen (H2) generation during fermentation unicellular non-diazotrophic cyanobacteria Gloeocapsa alpicola Synechocystis PCC 6803. Methods Results:  The level H2 production, measured using gas chromatography, was determined S-deprived cells G. 6803 fermentation. Starvation on S enhanced rate production by more than fourfold both strains. were able maintain maximum at least 8 h representing entire dark period day. Increased observed anoxic incubation phase 100% CH4 (up four times) lower medium (5·0–5·5). Conclusions:  S-deprivation CH4, added or maybe produced another micro-organisms, media can be used further increase specific capacity non-N2-fixing produce overall aim applying it for outdoor photobiological production. Significance Impact Study:  respect is well studied green algae Chlamydomonas reinhardtii while its application novel. Similarly, stimulation opens up new possibilities production. Natural enriched seems perspective fuel may an intermediate step pathway exploitation pure biohydrogen.
