摘要: 1. Genioplasty is the most frequently performed facial bone surgery which done as an isolated manner or a combination with other surgeries such orthognathic contouring surgery. 2. The versatility of procedure allows chin to be adjusted either forward backward in anteroposterior dimension, vertically shortened lengthened accordance frontal proportionate analysis, and narrowed achieve more slender contour. 3. Although simple it may be, genioplasty error prone leaves complications unsatisfactory results. 4. Surgeon should focus on several key technical points positioning segment ideal position, avoiding nerve injury, predicting soft tissue changes, achieving smooth jaw contour. 5. The deformity accompanied conditions class II profile, long-face syndrome, asymmetry, dysmorphologies, so preoperatively evaluated.
