Interrelationship of Micro- and Macrostructure with Physical Properties of Noncentrosymmetric Germanates

摘要: A set of ∼100 noncentrosymmetric germanates has been observed in reference to nonlinear optical properties. It found that, on the plane oxide bond lengths, germanate crystals are positioned into three intersected ellipses «acentricity». The properties α-GeO2, space group P3121, have evaluated by powder method. non-monotonic dependence susceptibility χ(2) shortest chemical length L(Ge-O) obtained for germanates. suggested crystal chemistry analysis is useful searching new crystals.
