摘要: The Malmquist index is a measure of productivity changes, which an important component the frontier shift or technological change. Often change can be viewed as global phenomenon, and therefore individual local measures changes are aggregated into overall measure, traditionally using geometric means. In this paper we propose way calculating indices provides better estimation true furthermore easy to calculate. Using simulation studies show how method outperforms traditional aggregation approach, especially for sparsely populated production possibility sets frontiers that also shape over time. Furthermore, our used unbalanced panels without disregarding any information. Finally, meaningful differences between from different groups rather than time periods illustrated in small case study bank branches countries.
