Analysis on Efficiency and Productivity Changes of Regional Public Hospitals in Korea with Data Envelopment Analysis/Window and Global Malmquist Indices Models

摘要: This study empirically analyze efficiency and productivity changes of public hospitals Korea using data envelopment analysis/Window model global Malmquist indices model. We use the ten-year from 2001 to 2010 30 regional listed database Association Korean Regional Public Hospitals. The main focuses are reveal whether technical inef-ficiency improved as time goes by, affected by environmental factors. results can be summarized follows. First, efficiencies rise in trend passes. Second, show different average according their type, hospital operational medicaid demand supply conditions Mann-Whitney U-tests. Third, mainly contribute 4.4% annual growth rate during that period. Our findings have some policy implications. It is confirmed there exist inefficiencies, those inefficiencies not overcome through just improving inner man-agement system.
