摘要: For decades, amphetamine stimulants have been used to ease hunger. Unfortunately, they are addictive and adverse effects on blood pressure heart health. Less drugs related amphetamines not proven be very effective. Moreover, produce serious side effects. Two of these, fenfluramine phenteramine (called “fen-phen” when in combination), caused damage valves too many users. Phenylpropanolamine, a decongestant, was available over the counter for appetite suppression. Although its effect variable, significant number people developed cerebral hemorrhage from use. As result it has withdrawn market, even treating nasal congestion. Also, reports accumulating that ingestion suppressants (e.g., Dextro/Lexoamphetamine or Adderall®; Table 3) may results cardiomyopathy [30]. In this report patient is described who after receiving therapeutic course dextroamphetamine/amphetamine.The patient’s cardiac function deteriorated point failure, necessitating transplantation. Cardiomyopathy associated with use potentially lethal condition. With early diagnosis, identification cause, treatment, reversible. Because such dangers amphetamines, as well problems assumptions, U.S. Food Drug Administration, removed several harmful market.
