摘要: A population-based case-control study was conducted in King County, WA, to investigate whether risk factors for estrogen receptor (ER)-rich and ER-poor breast cancers differ. Responses interviews with 329 women cancer who were between 25 54 years of age at the time diagnosis compared responses 332 similar selected from female residents County by random digit dialing. Of interviewed cases, 143 had ER-rich tumors, 97 89 tumors that not assayed receptors. The relative risks respect late menarche, single marital status, history extended lactation, menopause before 40, benign disease, positive family cancer, obesity, oral contraceptive noncontraceptive use. Late first full-term pregnancy a factor but cancer. This finding suggests different causal mechanisms operate these two types supports hypothesis an early birth protects against reducing level ERs mammary epithelial cells which carcinomas develop.
