摘要: We describe recent advances in the genomics and population biology of Cryptosporidium parvum C. hominis, causative agents cryptosporidiosis humans animals. Many basic aspects species remain to be investigated effective drugs control are not available. Sequencing annotation genome hominis has uncovered unique features metabolism these species. The recently sequenced gastric muris is providing new insights into evolution genus. Cryptosporidian sequence information facilitated identification polymorphic genetic markers. Genotyping oocysts excreted by human animal hosts using such markers revealed many genotypes, leading a better understanding epidemiology cryptosporidiosis.
