摘要: Oxygen consumption in the kidney: Effects of nitric oxide synthase isoforms and angiotensin II. Background mitochondrial effects by kidney (Qo 2 ), is linearly related to sodium reabsorption (T na but recent studies suggest this relationship variable that metabolic efficiency /T ) regulated hormonal factors. In dog, nonselective inhibitors (NOS) increase Qo . Glomerular hemodynamic reabsorptive consequences NOS inhibition require II (Ang II), implying an antagonistic between Ang rat, role responsible isoform have not been elucidated. Methods Kidney blood flow [renal (RBF)], glomerular filtration rate (GFR), were measured before during intravenous administration N G -monomethyl-L-arginine (L-NMMA), a inhibitor, control losartan receptor blocker)-treated rats administered S-methyl-L-thiocitrulline (SMTC), NOS-1 inhibitor. SMTC on oxygen also examined freshly harvested proximal tubules. Results L-NMMA high-dose decreased RBF, + low-dose did not. increased both groups. Both low- tubules vitro at presumed lower levels vectorial NaCl transport. effect was mediated influences transport alone. Conclusion Nonselective increases costs function independent for these vivo effects. observations acts part via basal metabolism function.
