摘要: This study was made with the objective of reevaluating colon denervation in chronic Chagas' disease. The diameters neuron perikaryons myenteric plexus were measured on paraffin sections a ring from sigmoid disease patients, 17 and 10 without megacolon non-chagasic controls. All neurons counted ten en-echelon sections. Neuron hypertrophy only occurred group megacolon, average increase diameter 69.3%. could generate an error factor count by increasing probability being seen greater number histological original result gave medians 1264, 1961, 2665 groups chagasic patients control, respectively. than 55% seven cases (41.2%). After applying correction factor, median 746, 13 (76.5%). occurrence demonstrates need to apply when is evaluated other pathologies where may be found.
