摘要: Injection molding is one of the most common processes for cost-effective mass production microplastic parts. When dimensions part, and thus cavity mold, are small, microscale factors which normally neglected in analysis conventional injection may play an important role. This investigation addresses effects mold surface roughness on polymer melt, a non-Newtonian fluid, during filling stage microinjection molding. The effect volume discussed. A simple, but effective model, to describe conductivity specific heat proposed. Subsequently, by employing finite method level set method, numerical procedure incorporating proposed model flow behavior melt implemented. Finally, simulation injected into microdisk performed using results found be good agreement with experiment. POLYM. ENG. SCI., 47:2012–2019, 2007. © 2007 Society Plastics Engineers
