摘要: In microinjection molding, when dimensions of molded parts, and thus the cavity are small, roughness may become significant for filling polymer melt. this paper, effects on melt flow into a thin circular were investigated numerically with aid newly developed inlet-velocity iterative procedure. The different mold temperatures, thicknesses, injection rates investigated. trends predicted by numerical simulation in good agreement those obtained from experiment. When surface approaches portion (e.g., 10%) thickness, effect becomes extremely pronounced especially at lower temperatures velocities. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
