The concept of borderline malignancy in ovarian tumours: a reappraisal.

摘要: It is widely, though not universally, agreed that some epithelial ovarian tumours are neither fully benign nor overtly malignant, such neoplasms being put into a separate category of “ovarian borderline malignancy”. Acceptance this concept does, however, raise number questions: i. What the best terminology for these neoplasms? ii. How should they be defined? iii. Are serous malignancy biologically equivalent to mucinous and extended include Brenner, endometrioid clear cell tumours? iv. Is there continuous spectrum between malignant which group simply segment or, alternatively, discontinuous range with forming discrete biological entity? v. How treated?
