摘要: Osteoporose wordt gekenmerkt door verminderde botdichtheid, een verslechtering van de microarchitectuur het bot en verhoogd fractuurrisico. De botdichtheid op oudere leeftijd onder andere bepaald piekbotmassa die bereikt jongvolwassen leeftijd. Een is geassocieerd met fractuurrisico bij volwassenen kinderen. Idiopathische juveniele osteoporose osteogenesis imperfecta zijn voorbeelden primaire osteoporose. Op kinderleeftijd echter vaker gevolg chronische ziekte of behandeling ziekte. Preventie bijvoorbeeld calcium vitamine-D-suppletie, bisfosfonaten, groeihormoon effecten trainingsprogramma's behoeven nadere evaluatie.
