摘要: INTRODUCTION The design and optimisation of activated sludge wastewater treatment systems has become dependent on biokinetic models processes. However for such to be effectively implemented, a good understanding the composition treated is required. Due diverse complex nature substrates which make up wastewater, direct characterisation techniques as measurement specific fatty acid concentrations, besides being difficult, are not generally sufficient provide complete substrate composition. Furthermore, different populations will respond differently same combination result differences in microbial sludge, history sludge. (i.e. cumulative effect behaviour series environments it been exposed.) Consequently, should based an estimation how population rather than exact knowledge chemical species present substrate.
