Formation of submicron-sized SrFe12−xAlxO19 with very high coercivity

摘要: Abstract Submicron-sized SrFe 12− x Al O 19 ( =1.3) was formed in glass-ceramic matrix using controlled thermocrystallization of the SrO–Fe 2 3 –Al –B glass and hexaferrite powder obtained by removing phases. The samples were characterized X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy with energy-dispersive (EDX) analysis magnetization measurements. material exhibits very high coercivity value up to 10.18 kOe which approaches a theoretically estimated maximum for compound. consists well faceted single crystals, adopt shape truncated hexagonal bipyramid. saturation is close one bulk material. Crystal structure refined Rietveld method distribution atoms on Fe sites determined. occupy 41% 2a sites, 14% 12k 5% 4e(1/2) while 4f are not affected.
