摘要: Among starchy seeds, rice has the unique capacity to germinate successfully under complete anaerobiosis. In this conditions, starch degradation is supported by a set of starch-degrading enzymes that are absent or inactive in cereals except rice. A characterization carbohydrate metabolism and enzyme activity across twenty-nine genotypes Oryza sativa L. presented here. The zymogram amylolytic activities present embryos endosperms anaerobic conditions seven days after sowing (DAS) revealed marked differences among cultivars. Coleoptile elongation was positively correlated with total α-amylase embryos, negatively endosperm. Moreover, content found be while negative relationship recorded Carbohydrate status seedlings primary importance sustaining coleoptile towards surface. between level embryo anoxic germination, as well condition 7 DAS, consistent role sugar support germination oxygen-deprived environment.
