摘要: AbstractA key barrier to widespread use of warm-season grasses in the transition zone between temperate and subtropical climates is represented by winter dormancy, a temporary suspension visible growth any plant structure including meristem. In this environment, species with different photosynthetic carbon cycle coexist, leading asynchrony among warm- cool-season grasses. The objectives present study were (i) assess carbohydrate content four representative zoysiagrasses Zoysia japonica ‘El Toro’, ‘Meyer’, Z. pacifica, matrella ‘Zeon’ during three successive phases vegetation phenology, senescence, green-up, (ii) characterize metabolic responses phenological variations under natural acclimation.
