摘要: Free/Libre and Open Source Software (FLOSS) projects are a form of commons where individuals work collectively to produce software that is public, rather than private, good. The famous phrase “Tragedy the Commons” describes situation natural resource commons, such as pasture, or water supply, gets depleted because overuse. tragedy in FLOSS distinctly different -it occurs when collective action abandoned before product produced reaches its full potential. This paper builds on previous about defining success by taking perspective. We first report results interviews with developers regarding our ideas failure projects. Building those work, we then describe criteria for abandonment commons. Finally, discuss validation classification nearly all hosted Sourceforge.net August 2006.
