HPLC-PDA DETERMINATION OF PSEUDO TARAXASTEROL (Ψ-TARAXASTEROL)IN DIFFERENT COUSINIA SPECIES

摘要: Cousinia Cass. is one of the widespread genera Asteraceae family. There a large number ofpharmacological activity studies on this genus and it has not yet been examined phytochemically in detail. Pseudo taraxasterol (ψ-taraxasterol) pentacyclic triterpene with different pharmacological such as antinociceptive, anti-inflammatory. In report, we aimed to evaluate ψ-taraxasterolcontent, which isolated from C. stenocephala seven Cousiniaspecies by high-performance liquid chromatography-photodiode array detector (HPLC-PDA)method. According quantitative analyses highest content ψ-taraxasterol was detected davisiana, stenocephala, ramosissima extracts (0.423±0.004, 0.395±0.004 0.374±0.000 g/100gextract, respectively). This first report quantification pseudo HPLC-PDA method genus, result will shed new lights advanced biological species genus.
