摘要: Professor Jellinger first identified that striatal Aβ deposition at postmortem seemed to differentiate cases of dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB) from those Parkinson’s disease (PDD), a finding subsequently questioned. Our replication study in 34 prospectively studied assessed the ability DLB PDD, and also relationship between cortical α-synuclein-immunoreactive pathologies, using previously published protocols. Cases had significantly shorter durations greater severities compared PDD. Striatal Aβ-immunoreactive plaques were only consistently found correlated both severity (positive correlation) duration (negative dementia. positively pathologies as well Aβ-positive plaques. predicted body high specificity greatest sensitivity PDD 100% negative predictive value. These data suggest diseases contributes early these may impact on efficacy treatments targeting striatum.
