摘要: This paper presents a detailed energy budget of the M2 tide over world ocean, based on hydrodynamic solution FES94.1. The global input by astronomical forcing, deduced from (2,2) spherical harmonics FES94.1 solution, is 2.35 TW. A quarter this takes place South Atlantic Ocean. dissipated bottom friction main continental shelves, among which 40% North Pacific Ocean, Indian Ocean and receive more than they dissipate. By contrast Arctic show large deficit, compensated net influx coming other basins. One third total forcing ocean flows northward through Equatorial Atlantic. Detailed dissipation estimates are computed different areas compared to previous estimates.
