摘要: The specificity of the retrograde axonal transport nerve growth factor (NGF) has been investigated by injecting125I-labelled NGF and similar proteins (both with respect to molecular weight electrical charge at physiological pH) into anterior eye chamber adult mice. Previous studies have shown that difference between accumulation radioactivity in superior cervical ganglion injected non-injected sides is a measure for transport. Of all studied (NGF, cytochrome c, insulin, horseradish peroxidase, ovalbumin, bovine albumin, ferritin), was only which exhibited statistically significant (2–3 fold) sides. further supported finding relatively small chemical changes, such as oxidation tryptophan moieties molecule, resulted marked reduction transport. It concluded system providing information cell body from adrenergic terminals form highly specific, this does not depend on general physico-chemical properties molecule size pH. However, available so far allow one decide whether selectivity resides itself or uptake mechanism terminals.
