摘要: Abstract Aerosol particles collected over the Pacific Ocean between 14 February and 7 May 1984 were examined for their ability to nucleate ice by freezing, sorption, condensation-followed-by-freezing. nucleating freezing in temperature range from −7.3° −11.1°C along western coast of North America size 6 8 μm diameter. A very low concentration smaller than 0.5 at −12°C was present South Pacific. No ice-forming nuclei, active sorption −5 −17°C, found. Concentrations IFN condensation-followed-by-freezing 100 m −3 −3.3°C 3 × 10 4 (301. −1 ) below −4.0°C. These concentrations found be independent −4° −14°C.
