摘要: Academic institutions funded by the Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA) Program of National Institutes Health were challenged recently Institute Medicine to expand traditional mentoring graduate postdoctoral scholars include training continuing education for faculty, professional staff, community partners. A systematic review was conducted determine whether researcher development interventions, alone or in any combination, are effective improving behavior. PubMed, CINAHL, Education Research Complete databases select journals searched relevant articles published from January 2000 through October 2012. total 3,459 papers identified, 114 retrieved in-depth analysis. None included randomization. Twenty-two reported subjects with degrees, outcomes. Interventions meetings, outreach visits, colleague mediation, audit feedback, multifaceted interventions. Most studies interventions (68.2%), often involving mentored learning experiences, meetings. All a change performance, including numbers publications grant applications. Nine changes competence, writing, presentation, analytic skills, performance research practice (40.9%). Even as, quality evidence weak establish causal linkages between improved behavior, nearly all projects (81.8%) received funding governmental agencies, societies, other organizations. Those who design activities those evaluate programs develop tools conduct that measure effectiveness, costs, sustainability CTSA Program.
