摘要: Purposes: Analysis of the tumor boundary could play an important role in increasing understanding relationships with normal structures for surgical resection planning and risk assessment local recurrence sarcoma.  The objective this paper is to present analytical methods that were developed characterize using signal from T2-weighted MRI a test set images patients sarcomas. Patients Methods: The study parameters compared histopathological data resected tumors.  T2-weighted scans acquired 20 subjects diagnosed Computer software was MR intensity as function distance along probing radii. Results: There significant differences between tumors positive or negative margins. slope T2 change at tumor/normal tissue (p=0.007) (p=0.001) significantly correlated margin status. Conclusions:  These demonstrate image analysis algorithm which characterizes be useful clinical evaluation tumor. spatial position parameter correlates margins can identified precisely while still body patient prior removal. This method different than simple edge detection reports on tumor-normal interface.
