Carbon dots–quinoline derivative nanocomposite: facile synthesis and application as a “turn-off” fluorescent chemosensor for detection of Cu2+ ions in tap water

摘要: In this paper, a novel quinoline derivative: 8-(pyridin-2-ylmethoxy)quinoline-2-carboxylic acid (Q) has been successfully synthesized, then it was coupled with carbon dots (CDs) to synthesize CDs–Q nanocomposite by simple and green method. The can act as “turn-off” fluorescent chemosensor for detection of Cu2+ ions. It's good candidate sensing on account its excellent properties such high sensitivity selectivity, easy synthesis, fluorescence stability towards temperature pH, direct in aqueous solution tap water distinct quenching Cu2+. We have also discussed the mechanism possible coordination mode wide linear range (0.01–1.2 μM) ions limit 0.56 nM. addition, applied determine satisfying results.
