摘要: Exposure to particulate matter (PM) from traffic vehicles is hazardous the vascular system, leading clinical manifestations and mortality due ischemic heart disease. By analogy, nanomaterials may also be associated with same outcomes. Here, effects of exposure PM ambient air, diesel exhaust certain on atherosclerosis vasomotor function in animals have been assessed. The majority studies used pulmonary by inhalation or instillation, although there are some non-pulmonary routes such as gastrointestinal tract. Airway air pollution particles similar progression, augmented vasoconstriction blunted vasorelaxation responses arteries, whereas lower responses. At present, no convincing evidence dose-dependent across studies. Oxidative stress inflammation observed arterial wall PM-exposed dysfunction plaque progression. From data, it evident that systemic does not seem necessary for these occur. Furthermore, inconsistent regard altered plasma lipid profile a key step progression animals. In summary, results show nanomaterials, including TiO2, carbon black nanotubes, hazards system combustion-derived PM.
