摘要: The invention describes a procedure for manufacturing photonic crystals and passive active optoelectronic device components comprising of crystals. approach draws upon the mature technology producing microchannel plates (MCPs). Based on this approach, crystal structures with or without defects can be fabricated. band gaps produced in presented made active. A structure is described that contain different gap regions. Additionally, filled refractive indexes are described. present maybe used as filters, phase shifters, splitters, couplers, multiplexers, demultiplexers, modulators, variable optical attenuators, gain equalizers, etc. communication applications.
