摘要: INTRODUCTION Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) is the sixth most common cancer in world. Dickkopf -1 (DKK-1) protein a new biomarker used conjunction with Alpha Fetoprotein (AFP) to differentiate HCC from "non-malignant" liver disease. DKK-1 an inhibitor of Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway which involved embryogenesis and has been implicated tumorigenesis many tissues. AIM To investigate level gene expression peripheral blood patients who had history Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) schistosomal infections. MATERIALS AND METHODS This "cross-sectional" study was carried out Tropical Medicine Department Tanta University Hospital on 50 10 healthy volunteers served as control. All were tested for HCV antibodies "anti-schistosomal" antibodies. groups measured quantitative real-time PCR. RESULTS over-expressed than control group mean 3.269±4.762 versus 1.00 controls (p< 0.005). "Over- expression" found in: 8/20 negative serology both infections (40%; p<0.001), 7/18 positive anti-HCV (38.89%; p<0.001) 11/12 anti-schistosomal (91.66%; p<0.001). There no statistically significant correlation between infection (p=0.139) but there (p<0.001). CONCLUSION These data suggest role over-expression development combined that induction Wnt or using antagonist may represent key advance area genetic prevention these "high-risk" patients.
