摘要: Background Malnutrition, weight loss, and muscle wasting (sarcopenia) are common among women with advanced ovarian cancer have been associated adverse clinical outcomes survival. Our objective is to investigate overall survival (OS) related changes in skeletal (SM) for patients treated neoadjuvant chemotherapy interval debulking. Methods Ovarian (n = 123) debulking the area of Maastricht (the Netherlands) between 2000 2014 were included retrospectively. Surface areas SM adipose tissue defined on computed tomography at level third lumbar vertebra. Low baseline during compared Kaplan Meier curves, Cox-regression models applied test predictors OS. Results Median OS who lost (n = 83) was 916 ± 99 days, which significantly different from median maintained or gained (n = 40), 1431 ± 470 days (P = 0.004). Loss also a significant predictor multivariable analysis (hazard ratio 1.773 (95%CI: 1.018–3.088), P = 0.043). did not influence survival. Conclusions Patients worse when they lose chemotherapy. Evaluation low specific time point prognostic OS. External prospective validation these findings imperative. Nutritional, pharmacological, and/or physical intervention studies necessary establish whether impairment can be prevented prolong
