摘要: In recent years in several countries a deceleration or leveling off of pleural mesothelioma rates has been observed. The impact asbestos used was analysed by comparing country with relative modest incidence rate (Sweden) and an early response to use one the highest Western Europe (The Netherlands). Sweden Cancer Register provided information on annual mesothelioma, whereas Netherlands mortality data were Statistics for period 1969-2001. among men consistently higher (1.5-2 times) than Sweden, women similar Assuming that none female cases caused occupational exposure asbestos, minimum estimates etiologic fraction would be 82% 92% Netherlands. Possible explanations include differences levels, proportion exposed subjects workforce types fibres used. Measures decrease seem have decreased risk both age groups below 60 years. This effect will result increase next decade.
